QuanDra Shanks (25th) and Anakaren Lopez (29th) ran well to finish in the top 30. Haley Carson (40th), Carly Egan (42nd), Sarah Perry (47th), and Payton Wilson (56th) also had great races. It was another rainy day, and another great meet for the Brookwood Girls XC team. At the Reebok Coach Wood Invitational, the varsity girls won their 4th meet of the year, winning in exciting fashion. The girls won in a 6th runner tiebreaker, narrowly defeating a very good Collins Hill team. Haley Carson was our 6th runner and ran very well. Anakaren Lopez led the way with a 15th place finish.
The JV girls had 2 great races. Claire Hachat, Elyse Renshaw, and Katie Day led the way to a 2nd place finish in the first JV race. In the 2nd JV race, Ellen McCuiston and Claire Cashin had breakthrough races to finish 1st and 4th overall!
Several girls ran big PR's despite the muddy conditions. For results, click here. For photos of the meet, see the PHOTOS page.
The Brookwood Girls ran GREAT at both the Furman Invitational and the Southeast XC Showdown. The JV travelled to Furman and brought home 2nd place! The varsity travelled to Alabama and brought home the 1st place trophy.

The JV girls ran great in Thursday's dual meet vs. Parkview at Alexander Park. It was a close race against a very good Parkview squad, but the Lady Running Broncos ran to victory, defeating Parkview 25-32. Several girls ran great times. But, more importantly, there was a lot of improvement when compared to the times run by the girls in August's time trial. The hard work is paying off!
WOW! The Brookwood girls took home the Gwinnett County Championship on Saturday. In muddy conditions, Caroline Kissel, Carly Egan, QuanDra Shanks, Sarah Perry, Anakaren Lopez, Haley Carson, Payton Wilson, & Andrea Byrnes ran great races. The girls are also ranked #10 in the Southeast according to Dyestat.com.
The JV girls ran great, as well, in even sloppier and muddier conditions. The JV girls took home the Gwinnet County runner-up plaque, coming in 2nd place in Georgia's strongest XC county! Carsen Harris, Danielle Jarnagin, Leila Choucair, Avery Douglas, Kaitlyn Banning, Elyse Renshaw, Brittany Davis, Claire Cashin, Allie Gardner, Kelly Cashin, Kelly Green, Farheen Hasham, Jessie Gant, Gabby Orlando, and Katherine Martin had fantastic races for the JV girls.
